Please consider helping MGS achieve its mission to provide an association of those interested in genealogy, to collect material relating to Minnesota families, to hold meetings for the instruction and interest of its members, and to foster and increase interest in genealogy.

Development and Grant Writing

Sustain and develop our programs through your expertise in development and grant writing.

Fundraising

Assist in planning and coordination of fundraising efforts throughout the year.

Education Committee

Bring your expertise to making decisions on opportunities offered through in-person classes, webinars, and our bi-yearly conferences.

North Star Committee

Assist in planning and executing our annual fall conference. We have year-round opportunities in the following: Advertising and Public Relations, Door Prize Coordination, Graphic Design, Hospitality, Program Advertising, Registration, Speaker Relations, Syllabus Coordinator and Vendor Relations.

Minnesota Genealogy Center

Duties include opening and closing the center, answering the phone, and helping patrons find their way around the center. New volunteers work with experienced volunteers. No experience is necessary, training will be provided.
